There are 103 City Learning Centres (CLCs) located throughout the urban areas of the country, each with the remit to enhance teaching and learning through the creative and innovative use of technology. The first centres opened in 2000, with the others following over the next couple of years. |

In Sheffield we have five centres, each serving a partnership of secondary, primary and, in some cases, special schools. Between them, every local authority school in the city is covered. Although each CLC has its own distinctive character, they all have a similar mix of curriculum and professional development, project delivery and new technology research. |
